Healthy Melting Potatoes That Boost The Immune System and Lower High Blood Pressure

Perhaps you are avoiding potatoes since, many people believe they lead to weight gain and other health issues. However, that’s not true, potatoes only become unhealthy if fried or extremely loaded with butter, sour cream, and milk.

Here is the healthy melting potatoes recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp of butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth, or vegetable broth
  • 2 tsp of fresh rosemary, or fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Preparation:

At first, preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) with the rack in the upper-middle position. Next, peel two pounds Yukon Gold potatoes and slice them 1-inch thick. Melt the butter (unsalted), and toss the potatoes with it. Then, add salt and pepper, and chopped thyme or rosemary.

Afterward, transfer them to a 9 x 13-inch metal baking dish and make sure to place them in a single layer. Bake for 15 minutes, flip them, and bake for additional 15 minutes.

When done, remove the baking dish from the oven, add chicken or vegetable broth and add 3 to 4 smashed garlic cloves. Again, return the pan in the oven for an extra 15 minutes, until most of the liquid is absorbed. Serve warm and enjoy the healthy melting potatoes!
